Their small size can make mold easy to miss, often resulting in mold returning time and time again. So how can you really get rid of these molds at home?

Simple cleaning tips to effectively remove molds

It is very difficult to differentiate molds from stains. The very first thing you must do is make s

ure that you are fighting the right enemy – mold.

1.Use of chlorine bleach

The active ingredient of chlorine – sodium hypochlorite kills almost any type of molds (and its spores) by attacking and degrading its cell wall. Mix chlorine and water in 1:10 ratio and put the mixture in a spray bottle or a piece of cloth. Directly apply to the infected areas to ensure its effectivity. Always remember that chlorine is TOXIC and must  be kept away from the reach of children.

2.Using distilled white vinegar

The acidic nature of vinegar makes it an ideal choice to kill molds. It is very cheap and safe to be used at home. You just simply put the vinegar into a spray bottle (DO NOT DILUTE WITH WATER) and spray the content directly into the infected surfaces.

3.Use of Tea Tree Oil

Tea Tree Oil is a natural oil that is known to effectively remove molds. It is a bit pricey, but a small amount can go a long way. Put a cup of water in a spray bottle and add a teaspoon of Tea Tree Oil. Spray it on the surfaces that need its mold-killing action.
